I purchase large old houses, usually historical farming properties or castles and convert them into comfortable family houses or apartments with a lot of living space, frequently with a garden or a park.
Often there is a natural (biological) swimming pool/lake outside.
Inside, there will typically be a lot of open space. We will keep and/or re-use all the original ancient elements that have an esthetical value and complete the renovation with matching high level modern and ecological materials and equipment. The options habitually proposed are an indoor pool with a botanical garden including a wellness/spa area featuring jacuzzi, sauna, steam bath and cold water tub, a private glass elevator (there are usually 3 or more levels), indoor barbecue, pizza oven, tepan-yaki, cold storage room, computerized house-management system, etc.
The region in which I originally started doing this is around the fast developing city of Yverdon ( 15 minutes north of Lausanne and abt. 40 minutes to Geneva and Bern), known for its wonderful lakes and mountains as well as its peaceful living. Prices of real estate are still quite reasonable, with a high potential for growth. More recently, I have extended that region to a triangle that goes from Geneva to Neuchâtel and Montreux. The region along Lake Geneva is better known internationally, with a higher level of prices.
Specific nearly finished properties are the following:
1) Villars-Epeney, near Yverdon: about 403 square meters of living space in a large farming property comprising 3 units, 3/4 bedrooms, at CHF 1.950.000,-.
2) Villars-Epeney, near Yverdon: about 435 square meters of living space in a large farming property comprising 3 units, 3/4 bedrooms, at CHF 1.980.000,-.
3) Montreux: individual historical house in the old town with a garden and a partial lake view, about 400 square meters of living space, 4 bedrooms, at CHF 4.200.000,-.
4) Territet/Montreux: individual little castle- shaped historical house with a garden and a lake view, about 340 square meters of living space, 3/4 bedrooms, at CHF 4.200.000,-.
5) Aubonne: about 266 square meters of living space in a historical farming building in a small town, 3 bedrooms, at CHF 3.245.200,-.
6) Aubonne: about 314 square meters of living space in a historical farming building in a small town, 3 bedrooms, at CHF 4.144`800,-
A few others are under refurbishment or in a planning stage, ranging from 345 to 850 square meters, priced from CHF 1.800.000,- to 6.000.000,-. Some are planned to be even bigger (one, presently under refurbishment has over 2.000 square meters of living space), and are carried out upon special requests, with a variable degree of sophistication as far as equipment and special features are concerned. Some can also be made somewhat smaller/simpler and at lower prices.
It is interesting for me to get an understanding of your aspirations in order to propose a matching living environment. That is why It would be ideal, of course, if you had a chance to come and visit the properties. I would be delighted to show you around.
If you follow the link below (and click on the picture of the farmhouse) you will see a recent little television subject, which will give you an idea of what I do:
